Welcome!
You’ll be greeted warmly by one of our members as you walk through the doors and we hope you’ll feel right at home. At Cornerstone, you will be in community with people from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds from all over the metroplex. We are passionate about making disciples who make disciples and would love you to be part of the family!
What is Cornerstone all about?
On our beliefs page, we’ve prepared a thorough outline of our beliefs in the inerrant word of God, salvation through Jesus Christ, and so much more.
When it comes to narrowing down our specific mission as a church, it’s simple; we make disciples who make disciples.
In Jesus’ time on earth, he provided the perfect model of relational living. In Matthew 28, he tells his disciples, “‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”
At Cornerstone, our mission is to live out that command by making disciples who make disciples!
Where is Cornerstone?
We are located in north Fort Worth, at 7955 North Beach Street, between Basswood and North Tarrant.
What time are services?
Our Sunday morning service is at 10:30. Nursery, preschool, and elementary programs are offered during the adult worship time.
Our Student Ministry small groups meet Sunday evenings from 5:00-7:00pm.
Sunday nights during the spring and fall semesters, we host Equip Modules which open for registration at this link! These 4-8 week classes will challenge you in the Word, help you to develop godly habits, and connect you deeper in community with your Cornerstone family.
Wednesday evening Youth program is available starting at 7:00pm.
Our Discipleship Groups meet throughout the community during the week.
Where do I go when I arrive?
When you arrive, a member of our Welcome Team will greet you at the door and direct you to a comfortable seat in the sanctuary or to our Welcome Center if you have children to check into our Cornerstone Kids programs.
As you enter the sanctuary, a First Impressions team member will make their way to greet you and get to know you. You will receive a Connect Card that will help us get to know you and stay connected.
If you join us along with children (Infants - 6th grade), you will be directed to the Welcome Center to set up a secure check-in for each child. Someone will then direct you to the appropriate classrooms before services begin where you can get a glimpse of our incredible Cornerstone Kids’ team who will care for your kiddos while you join us for worship and an engaging message from the word of God.
You can also grab a coffee, tea, or smoothie from our Corner Coffee bar before settling into your seat in the sanctuary.
What should I expect in worship?
We strive to create an environment for worship where people are encouraged to experience the presence of God. Our music style is contemporary in nature, yet driven by lyrical content that reflects our adoration and reverence of our awesome and holy God. Our music is fresh and uplifting and we pray it prepares your heart for the message from our Pastor. Our messages are rich in Scripture, Holy Spirit inspired, and offer practical insights and application to the relevant issues faced in our lives today. Each service is designed to transform the heart by a clear and encouraging application of God’s Word.
What should I wear?
You are invited to come as you are! Scripture makes clear that a person’s interior is far more important than the exterior. We are more interested with your heart connecting in worship to God than what you are wearing. At Cornerstone, you will see blue jeans, suits, dresses, and shorts, on a mixed community of disciples from all walks of life who feel comfortable worshipping God as they are.
What about my kids?
The mission of our Cornerstone Kids ministry is to support the work you are doing by discipling your children at home. Our Sunday morning programs are for infants - 6th graders. We teach from the Scripture utilizing both the LifeKids and Orange curriculum. We want to help your children experience the joy of worshipping God and to encourage them to hide God’s word in their hearts through songs, story telling, scripture memory, activities, and crafts that all tie back to the week’s scripture.
Our Cornerstone Kids team will provide loving care for your children in a safe and engaging environment.
We have a secure check-in/check-out system and teams of staff and volunteers who are trained and screened to help ensure safety and security. Our Sunday morning programs are for infants - 6th graders. If your child needs you at any time, you will be notified by one of our workers via text message or a worker will notify you discreetly during the service.
